Level II Financial Analyst

Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst provides functional and technical advice to implement business solutions on complex accounting/financial management topics in support of the client. Specifically:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate financial risk, financial reporting, and accounting transactions processes including controls related to Federal entities
- Review and evaluate Federal financial business processes and financial statements
- Provide expertise on engagements related but not limited to Financial Operations, Supply Chain, and Project and Acquisition Management
- Contribute to design, preparation, and analysis of reports and findings in a clear, logical, and concise manner
- Perform audit readiness supporting remediation of client's audit / financial management deficiencies
- Prepare financial and managerial reports that provide robust explanations of trends / variances and brief executives on results and/or recommendations
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
- Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
- Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
- Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
- Responsible for contract PMO support
* Receiving, compiling, and reviewing weekly/monthly status reports
- Business Development support as needed
- Support other audit efforts as needed
- Ability to do client travel as needed
Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
- Four (4) year degree in Accounting or Business Management related field from an Accredited Institution
Certifications:
Experience:
Active Secret DoD Security Clearance Preferred.
Three (3) years of progressive, relevant experience.
Experience supporting audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and/or relevant OMB policies for State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000) employees.
