This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

As a mission-critical partner, HR strengthens a safety-first culture, scales objective, compliant practices, and enables teams to deliver safe, repeatable spaceflight.

As a key advisor to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and HR Leadership Team, this role shapes and executes Blue Origin's enterprise HR4HR strategy. Works collaboratively across HR COEs, HRBPs, and the CEO's office; translating executive priorities into measurable people solutions that strengthen leadership, culture, organization design, and talent outcomes. The role models a narrative-first writing culture, structured problem solving, and operational rigor, building scalable mechanisms (Goals, KPIs, Monthly and Quarterly Business, Annual Strategic Planning, Change Management) that drive business outcomes while elevating the employee experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operational & Business Rhythm Management

  • Act as business operations partner to the Chief People Officer, managing rhythms of the business, tracking strategic goals, preparing for reviews, and coordinating leadership off-sites.
  • Establish continuous improvement practices for HR programs through KPIs, feedback loops, and data-driven enhancements.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Partner with HR leaders to develop and implement workforce plans, succession and talent strategies, performance calibration, and total rewards aligned with business goals.
  • Lead organizational design and staffing with a focus on agility, scalability, and role clarity to improve effectiveness.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable HR programs and roadmaps that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Use data and analytics to identify root causes, assess program ROI, mitigate risk, and support evidence-based decisions.

Communications & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as senior HR Leader to the Chief People Officer and HR org, providing executive coaching, strategic counsel, and decision support on people and leadership issues.
  • Design and lead change management strategies, stakeholder engagement, and communications to ensure adoption of new programs and ways of working.

Enterprise Project Management

  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives that align people strategy with enterprise goals and eliminate execution barriers.
  • Ensure operational readiness for new HR initiatives, including stakeholder alignment, resource planning, and risk management.

Governance, Risk & Compliance Oversight

  • Partner with HR relations/partner teams on complex employee relations and investigations, advising HR leadership on resolution strategies, policy interpretation, and compliance while upholding culture and fairness.
  • Develop and scale operational frameworks, governance, and processes to enhance HR efficiency and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, or related field, or equivalent combination of progressive experience and education
  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in strategic HR roles with demonstrated experience in business partnership and organizational development
  • Project management experience with PMP certification, demonstrating ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Psychology, or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Professional HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) demonstrating commitment to professional excellence
  • Resilient, agile; proven success in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high attention to detail
  • Diplomatic, emotionally intelligent; demonstrated conflict resolution and crisis management skills
  • Experience in high-growth, tech-driven, or mission-critical sectors (e.g., aerospace, defense, manufacturing)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; demonstrated influence with stakeholders from front lines to C-suite
  • Advanced analytical proficiency (data visualization, trend analysis) with a proven record of translating insights into actionable recommendations
  • Expertise in organizational change management frameworks
  • Proficient with HRIS, workforce analytics, Tableau and advanced Excel/data tools

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $152,484.00-$213,477.60

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
