Central Project Management Office (PMO) - Senior Manager

At PTC, the Central Program Management Office (PMO) plays a pivotal role in translating strategy into execution. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to join our PMO leadership team in driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a seasoned leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about developing talent, optimizing processes, and enabling enterprise-wide initiatives.

Our project portfolio brings together an exciting combination of transformational, operational and IT initiatives, all with a focus on how we improve our employee and customer experiences through the application of business process optimization and technology

Responsibilities:

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead and coach a team of project and program managers, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and high performance.
  • Champion employee satisfaction and engagement through proactive communication and support.

Process Ownership & Optimization

  • Own and evolve PMO processes, ensuring they are documented, enabled, and continuously improved.
  • Monitor execution quality and drive enhancements aligned with industry best practices.
  • Lead efforts to benchmark PMO methodologies against industry standards.
  • Promote innovation in tools, skills, and delivery models to elevate PMO capabilities.

AI Strategy & Innovation

  • Own and drive the AI strategy for the PMO, identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance project management processes and elevate PMO capabilities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to pilot and scale AI-driven solutions such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and decision support tools.

Strategic Alignment & Organizational Development

  • Collaborate with other PMO leaders to align team goals with corporate strategy.
  • Sponsor and participate in cross-functional initiatives that support strategic priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10-12 years of experience in project/program management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI technologies to improve PMO operations and project management processes
  • Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and delivering complex initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, governance, and portfolio management.
  • Knowledge/experience of Change Management frameworks
  • Knowledge/experience of basic Agile, Scrum and Hybrid frameworks
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational agility.
  • Ability to lead and influence others at all levels, including peers through senior management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • PgMP or PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and ServiceNow.
