Position Title: CNC Lathe & Mill Operator - Direct Hire!
Wage: $25.00 - $29.00/hour Shift: 1st or 2nd Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm or 2:00pm - 10:30pm (Monday - Friday) We are seeking two CNC Operators (Level II) to join our growing team in Overland, MO. Each role requires a minimum of 3 years' CNC machining experience-one specializing in CNC lathes (1st Shift) and the other in CNC mills (2nd Shift). This is a hands-on role where you'll set up, adjust, and operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet strict specifications. Apply today! CNC Operator Responsibilities: - Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment - Operate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard charts - Place and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches - Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions - Follow written instructions from internal and external customers and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications - Perform work independently with minimal defects - Basic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerances - Complete work order paperwork - Check parts for conformance to customer specifications - Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required - Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department - Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication - Maintain clean and organized work area Requirements for CNC Operator: - 2+ years of experience, or equivalent - A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required - Previous experience in manufacturing industry preferred - Knowledge of machining techniques and methods - Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures - Communicate with supervisor on work order priority - Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts - Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes - Ability to use basic measuring instruments - Excellent problem solving skills - Ability to work overtime as needed - Ability to lift up to 40lbs korea.willingham@qpsemployment.com IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
