| General Purpose Under guidance, perform activities related to underwriting review and quotation of new business and renewals for DFA product lines. Job Duties and Responsibilities 
 
 
 Process new business and renewal requests in accordance with appropriate state and federal regulations. Analyze and underwrite risks to determine eligibility and proper rate classification for quoting of new and renewal businessParticipate in enrollment activities, including compilation of renewal notificationsEffectively communicate program benefits and features, underwriting criteria, and eligibility rules to prospective and existing clients, regional sales agents, broker partners, and customer service center staff. Provide information within established departmental timeframesMonitor new business and processing output to ensure accuracy of initial billingProcess requests for claims. Analyze claim submission to ensure accuracy and completeness of information and eligibility for recovery. Submit approved claims to insurance carrier. Track claim through claim payment, intervening as necessary to ensure timely, accurate paymentMeet performance objectives for timeliness of quote turnaround, policy issuance, file maintenance and documentation, and technical data integrity for the underwriting, rating, and/or enrollment systemsCollaborate with departmental staff and marketing team to develop marketing literature, information mailings, enrollment documents and other program materialsDevelop awareness of client issues, industry, and market trends. Build and maintain knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensure that all activities are in compliance with these requirementsFollow corporate procedures, and through the use of corporate-defined technology, maintain weekly and monthly reports for use by managementMaintain proper level of professionalism and proactively work to ensure confidentiality standards are met and are in compliance with or exceed state and federal (HIPAA) requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.  Education and Experience 
 
 
 Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)0 to 2 years of related insurance experienceCertification and/or License - Appropriate license or obtain within 12 months of employment (must perform required continuing education coursework to maintain license); additional may be required during course of employment
