Together we can reinforce a culture of respect, integrity, accountability, and transparency. POSITION SUMMARY: This key role projects the voice and mission of Project HOPE to audiences worldwide. A vibrant storyteller, news - breaker, and community builder, the Social Media Manager will work across the global organization to promote Project HOPE through our social media platforms. Combining digital, social, and storytelling skills, this team member will produce compelling content that increases audience reach, engagement, and support. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Content & Cross-Channel Optimization * Develops and deploys social campaign, annual, and cross- functional strategies, optimizing content, managing curation, increasing our reach and engagement. In collaboration with global teams, shapes and runs programming for social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. * Content Creation * Develops strategic, multi-format content across digital platforms, including Instagram Reels, LinkedIn documents, polls, and articles. Content creation is guided by current trends, team objectives, organizational priorities, and audience insights, while optimizing platform-specific features and algorithmic requirements to maximize visibility, impressions, engagement, and follower growth. * Creates standardized content templates for global channel coordination and team member utilization, ensuring consistent brand messaging and streamlined content production across all markets. * Data & Analytics Reporting * In coordination with the team, set goals and track KPIs to drive upward growth. * Social Media Account Management * Daily social media maintenance and engagement. Engages and guides global colleagues on DIY digital/user-generated content (UGC) guidelines. Collaborates with direct response and marketing teams as community manager. * Project Management * In coordination with the team, manages social media initiatives, idea conception, integrated strategy, cross-channel deployment, and results monitoring. * Writing & Editing * Strong writing, editing, research, and fact-checking, sourcing/crediting skills a must. Responsible for projecting the voice of Project HOPE, the highest standards of excellence are essential. * Community Management * Manage daily community engagement and interactions, amplifying tagged content that increases visibility. * Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree. * 5+ years of professional communications or social media experience * Strong passion for social media trends and emerging technologies, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences in dynamic digital landscapes. * Demonstrated growth mindset, with experience establishing KPIs and leveraging analytics to monitor performance and drive results. * Exceptional attention to detail in editing, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to apply the appropriate tone across various platforms and communications. * Proven storytelling skills, with cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse perspectives and voices. * Highly agile, yet structured and organized, with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges and problem-solving. * Ability to perform effectively under pressure, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and resourcefulness in adapting to shifting priorities. * Strong planning and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple high-priority tasks and projects efficiently and professionally. * Demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities, with professional maturity and a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality. * Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, particularly during crisis communications or emergency situations.
