Support North Cove Production Manufacturing Operations in the repair and maintenance of material handling and personnel transportation equipment i.e.: Powered Industrial Trucks.

What you'll be doing
  • Requires the abilities to diagnose and repair powered industrial equipment as needed through the troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiently perform welding operations using Electric Arc, T.I.G., M.I.G., and Oxy Acetylene gas operation.
  • Proficiently fabricate and modify parts for the installation, modification, repair,
  • or rebuilding of equipment, and similar projects to reduce costs and to improve
  • equipment.
  • Fabrication projects include, but are not limited to, equipment frames,
  • beds, axles, lifting components, operator platforms, safety guarding, handles,
  • covers, and other structural and sheet metal projects.
  • Ability to use vehicles manufacturer's documentation found on manufacturers website, and in service and parts manuals, to acquire the information necessary to complete projects or repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM's) as assigned on powered industrial equipment
  • and on shop machines and shop facilities. While assisting with PM compliance.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Corporate Specifications, and North Cove Standard Operating procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintain 6-S standards for work areas.
  • May be required to perform maintenance tasks and activities in other areas of the plant, for support of overall maintenance efforts.
  • Perform as required documentation using Maximo CMMS system.
  • Monitor parts spending and reliability trends
  • Train new colleagues on responsible processes
  • Coordinate training requirements from Engineering/Maintenance
  • Provide technical training for registered apprentices and manufacturing employees when assigned by maintenance supervision
  • Can include working in a Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment which may include the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, isolation mask, gown, hood, boots, or shoe covers and gloves. Additional PPE is required when cleaning
  • There is constant or intermittent noise and vibration
  • This position involves working around moving equipment, machinery, and conveyors
What you'll bring
  • 4 years Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance experience or 4 years Military Maintenance and Repair experience.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welders, torches, and various types of specialized testing and diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoot and repair AC & DC electrical motor control circuitry and microprocessor controls associated with powered industrial trucks.
  • Requires the ability stand/walk frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 34 pounds
  • Must be able to squat, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, kneel, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $46,400 - $63,800 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
