The QC Specialist ensures the quality and consistency of chemical production and mixing by conducting testing, inspections, and compliance checks. This role supports production teams in maintaining safety, regulatory standards, and product integrity.

Location: Shakopee, MN

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm



Responsibilities

    Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, FDA, NSF, etc.).
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment (pH meters, viscometers, spectrophotometers, etc.).
  • Document and analyze test results, investigating deviations and initiating corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Assist in writing and maintaining SOPs, safety data sheets (SDS), and quality documentation.
  • Support audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment (pH meters, balances, multimeters, titrators and others as needed).


Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of experience.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of QC experience in chemical manufacturing, mixing, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of analytical testing methods and laboratory procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LIMS, or other quality software.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
