Position Summary The Sales Operations Analyst & Inside Sales acts as both the operational backbone for the sales team and a proactive driver of new business opportunities. This hybrid role provides essential sales support, manages administrative and CRM tasks, and is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and nurturing leads in collaboration with marketing and field sales. As the first point of contact for many customers, this role ensures high-quality lead intake, rapid follow-up, and outstanding service-helping to convert prospects to opportunities and keep sales processes running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Sales Support & Administration
- Respond to inbound requests from the sales team and prospective customers (email, phone, CRM/case/task system), triage and resolve or forward as appropriate.
- Maintain and update customer data, accounts, and leads/opportunities in Salesforce and related systems.
- Prepare product information, quotes, presentations, or collateral as requested.
- Support onboarding and setup for new accounts and sales reps.
- Assist with sales program administration (Elite, Rewards, events, tradeshows, documentation).
- Serve as primary admin for customer/vendor portals, processing vendor setups, order entries, and portal access.
Lead Generation & Management
- Research and find new leads (companies/contacts), using digital tools, event lists, networking databases, and inbound leads.
- Enter, organize, and track all leads in SFDC; monitor each stage and ensure no opportunity is lost.
- Qualify leads through initial outreach (phone/email); ask key discovery questions to determine interest and fit.
- Route qualified leads to the correct field rep or sales resource, ensuring clear and timely handoff.
- Monitor and report on lead and pipeline activity, escalate stalled leads to appropriate owners.
- Maintain regular reporting on lead generation and conversion success, and institute discovery reporting to systemically capture reasons for lost bids or projects not awarded to Mannington.
Inside Sales & Customer Engagement
- Conduct proactive outreach to target prospects and inbound inquiries: act as a liaison to assist in scheduling appointments/calls/demo requests for field sales.
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, tradeshows, digital downloads, or website forms to ensure rapid first contact.
- Educate customers on basic product offerings and match needs to solutions, escalating more complex discussions to senior sales or specialists.
- Manage touchpoints and nurture campaigns for early-stage or long-cycle leads.
- Support inside upsell/cross-sell efforts, reactivation of dormant accounts, and execute targeted call/email blitzes.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and enablement teams to align messaging and lead management best practices.
- Participate in regular cross-team meetings to review pipeline, feedback, and improvement opportunities.
- Contributes to the maintenance and testing of sales tools, CRM enhancements, and customer content/resources.
- Train fellow team members in lead management processes and assist in onboarding new team members.

Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
- 2+ years in sales support, customer service, inside sales, or lead generation.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred), Microsoft Office, and online lead research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfort with high-volume outbound calls/emails.
- Highly organized, collaborative, persistent, and results driven.
- Strong detail orientation, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities are essential
