Description

As part of an interdisciplinary initiative to expand Carnegie Mellon University's leadership in computational humanities, CMU's Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for up to two tenure-track positions in computational/digital humanities at the level of Assistant Professor (beginning or advanced).



Successful candidates will be working at the cutting edge of computational humanities and show strong potential to make contributions to knowledge through both novel computational methods and applications in humanistic disciplines. We especially welcome candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data modeling, computational linguistics, and cultural analytics.



Qualifications

Candidates with PhDs from a wide variety of disciplines are welcome - the initiative is interdisciplinary and will involve several departments in the college. Candidates should have a PhD by the start of the appointment. The position carries a 2/2 teaching load.
