Mission Systems Sustainment Systems Engineer

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Mission Systems Sustainment Systems Engineer to support the H-60 Multi-Mission Helicopters Program Office (PMA 299) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be supporting aircraft mission systems and subsystems Service Life Extension initiatives by resolving obsolescence issues and advancing the modernization of avionics and mission systems. A candidate should have a background in avionics and mission systems with practical experience in modernization or upgrades.

The selected candidate will be responsible for not limited to:

• Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems.
• Guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
• Employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.

Requirements:

• Education: Must hold a Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
  Minimum years of experience: Must have at least three (3) years of recent and relevant experience in a position related to the labor category description.
  Must have demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise.
• Key Skills:
  • Experience supporting Service Life Extension initiatives, including identifying and resolving obsolescence issues.
  • Background in avionics and mission systems with practical experience in modernization or upgrades.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software engineering concepts as applied to avionics and systems integration.
  • Experienced background in avionics and mission systems with practical experience in modernization or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze, design, and document solutions that sustain and enhance system performance over time.
• Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
