We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. This is a full-time direct-hire position located at or near our Hoover Road facility in Milan, Ohio.



Responsibilities

Sierra Lobo has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer-Inventory/Property Coordinator to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate primarily at our Milan, Ohio facility, with additional support at our Cleveland facility. In this role you will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, handling physical inventories, maintaining traceability records, coordinating the movement and auditing of company, customer, and government-owned property.

The Buyer- Inventory/Property Coordinator will be responsible for:

    Purchasing: Perform purchases of commercial products and services for purchases with a current dollar threshold of up to $25K. Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and CPSR procurement system.
  • Receiving, processing and delivery of incoming shipment: Receiving shipments into the company purchasing/inventory system. This position will be responsible for the final receiving of packages shipped to engineering team at different locations via many different couriers. This ensures timely receipt and payment of invoices by SLI to vendors.
  • Property Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of Government accountable property, including acquisition, tagging, barcoding, and disposition. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support property-related aspects of project. Conduct annual accountability inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Inventory Management: Perform periodic and annual physical inventories, reconciling results, and updating property records to ensure accurate accountability.
  • Inventory Handling & Movement: Handle, move, and stage materials, parts, and equipment; load and unload items for storage or shipment. Manage inventory relocation as storage solutions change.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Other Buyers, Facilities, Engineering, and other teams to manage assigned duties.
  • Physical Inventories & Audits: Conduct physical inventories at both Milan and Clevland locations. Support internal, customer, and government audits with accurate data and documentation.
  • Communication & Problem Solving: Maintain effective communication for inventory movements and issue resolution. Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to optimize efficiency.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education a plus
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, property control, or materials handling
  • Proficient in the application and documentation of analyses including best value, price, and cost realism.
  • Understanding of Justification for other than full and open competition (JOFOC) process
  • Must have the knowledge and skill to develop and maintain the procurement file to contain the Quote Recap, Procurement Award Justification, and Procurement Summary.
  • Experience with digital package receiving systems.
  • Must have a fair understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and have experience working within a CPSR procurement system.
  • Experience with control and accountability of property in a government or civilian environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
