Overview

The Process Operations (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician (I-II, Environmental Screening) will process modules through various Environmental Screening Processes to complete non-destructive testing. They will play a key role in supporting CAES by Honeywell San Jose's Manufacturing team.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Process modules and end items through Environmental Screening area working with production equipment including laser sealing, vibration testing, burn-in ovens, and acceleration testing.
  • Key role will be running laser welder which requires comfort loading programs on a computer, using a camera system to locate positions, and interacting with software during this process. Must also be observant and pay attention to details to prevent rejects during laser sealing process.
  • Tasks will involve handling sensitive electronic modules and use of hand tools necessary to complete the tasks.
  • Must be able to read operation sheets to determine what test to run and exact specifications of that test.
  • Complete visual inspection under a microscope to identify defects when a failure occurs.
  • Need to be detail oriented and able to communicate when a part does not meet specifications.
  • Maintain record logs, filling out operation sheets and loading equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma and minimum one year of related experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to work day shift, with work week being Tuesday thru Saturday once trained. Training will be Monday thru Friday (for approximately 6 months- 1 year).
  • Must be comfortable working on a computer with basic understanding of MS Office products.
  • Must be able to understand assembly drawings, written and oral work instructions.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and participate in problem solving when process and assembly issues arise.

Hourly Range: Process Operations (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician (I-II, Environmental Screening): $25.00-$30.00. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
