Description

Overall Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator timely and accurately implements all shipping and receiving functions. They also conduct related data collection and documentation.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Ship customers' products according to specifications; properly prepare and document all pallets for shipping.


  • Load trucks for delivery; unload for receiving as necessary.
  • Ensure that product is accurately weighed, verified, and inspected; attach proper placards according to specifications.
  • Conduct final inspection and wrap product to maintain load integrity; ensure placard is correct before final loading.
  • Pick and load products efficiently and properly; load trucks assigned to logistic provider.
  • Collect and maintain accurate and pertinent shipping records such as packing slips; submit reports as needed.


  • Maintain timely and accurate daily forklift logs.
  • Complete daily power equipment form before use; verify mechanic and safety status.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area; report any potential or identified hazards immediately.
  • Complete cross-training; serve as back up to warehouse and other functions as necessary.
  • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned



Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:



  • Basic English skills - Able to read, write, and communicate clearly.
  • Computer proficiency - Comfortable using common software and digital tools.
  • Math skills - Capable of performing basic calculations accurately.
  • Attention to detail - Focused on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Team player - Works well with others and supports group goals.
  • Forklift Certification a plus.


Education and Experience:



  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, or commensurate experience relating to the job required.


  • Previous power equipment experience.
  • Computer and scanner experience.
  • Lean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred.
  • Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus.



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to work consecutively 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekend rotations.
  • Ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided).
  • Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 65 pounds.


  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 12 hours.
  • Sensory requirements: vision, hearing, feeling.
  • Upper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching.
  • Lower extremity motion requirements: reaching.
  • Pre-employment post-offer physical assessment required.

Salary:
The starting wage range for this position is $19-$23/hr.
