Another Source's client, Crisis Connections, is recruiting a Vice President of Clinical Care to join their team in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week. For the days you will be working on-site, there is free parking offered at the location in Downtown Seattle.

Anticipated Salary: This position is budgeted at $170,000; we recognize that this range may not align with your current goals. We're committed to keeping that conversation open and finding alignment with talented people who want to make an impact with Crisis Connections.

About the Role:

Crisis Connections is seeking a visionary, results-driven Vice President of Clinical Care to provide executive leadership and strategic oversight of our behavioral health crisis services. This high-impact role is responsible for shaping and advancing the delivery of trauma-informed, equitable, and evidence-based care across the full crisis continuum, from prevention to intervention to postvention.

As Vice President, you will oversee clinical operations, program development, workforce training and development, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, while also cultivating strong relationships with contractors, funders, and community partners. You will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, setting the strategic direction for clinical initiatives that expand access, improve outcomes, and strengthen system-wide impact.

The Vice President of Clinical Care is a transformative leader who inspires teams, drives innovation, and ensures that all clinical programs reflect the highest standards of excellence. Guided by Crisis Connections' mission and values, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of behavioral health crisis services in our region.

Team Scope: This role leads a team that includes multiple Clinical Directors (988, 911 Diversion, Regional Crisis Care, Recovery & Peer Services), a Social Work Practicum Manager, and a Clinical Training Manager.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Clinical Oversight: Maintain clinical standards by ensuring program staff, volunteers, and interns receive appropriate supervision. Ensure documentation meets all requirements and is completed within established timeframes.
  • Relevant & Equitable Care Delivery: Ensure delivery of high-quality clinical services that emphasize cultural relevance, diversity, equity, and inclusion within a whole-person care framework. Monitor and respond to emerging community needs to ensure programs and services remain effective and equitable.
  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of mental health and/or substance use disorder programs to ensure they meet or exceed standards. Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensure program quality and impact goals are achieved, and design program structures with clear, defined, and achievable roles, responsibilities, and functions.
  • Workforce Hiring, Training & Development: In collaboration with HR and Operations, develop strategies and oversee systems for clinical staff recruitment, evaluation, training, and onboarding. Conduct needs assessments and consult with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs. Ensure delivery of relevant, high-quality training so all staff, volunteers, and interns are fully competent. Provide access to licensure supervision as resources allow.
  • Performance Management: Provide direction and guidance to program leaders to ensure alignment with Crisis Connections' mission and values. Ensure leaders deliver timely, constructive performance feedback and address issues promptly to prevent escalation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract-specific requirements, all relevant laws and regulations, and professional ethical standards. Serve as the organization's Privacy Officer.
  • Quality Improvement: Monitor, evaluate, and enhance clinical services and systems. Establish quality metrics and feedback loops to measure outcomes, and lead continuous improvement strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Operations to achieve contact center service level agreements (SLAs), workforce attendance and scheduling expectations, process and procedure improvements, and workforce management/technology initiatives.
  • Funder & Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, contractors, and system partners. Provide accurate and timely reports, address clinical care concerns proactively, contribute to system improvement initiatives, and resolve client, funder, and provider concerns with urgency.
  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Finance to develop and manage clinical program budgets, ensuring alignment with financial priorities and strategic goals.

Knowledge And Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of public behavioral health systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of suicide prevention and crisis management.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and complaint resolution.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, diplomatically, and effectively.
  • Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective decisions.
  • Exceptional change management and strategic planning ability.
  • Ability to build and inspire effective teams and hold self and others accountable.
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to travel across Washington state to attend in-person meetings and conferences.

What you will bring:

  • Master's degree in psychology/counseling or social work.
  • Mental Health Professional as defined by WAC 246-341-0200.
  • Independent licensure as a LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW in Washington State is required.
  • Minimum five years of executive-level management experience is required.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience directing behavioral health programs.

Technological Requirement:

  • Smart phone with the ability to download the Microsoft Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) application.
