Inventory Specialist

Performs a variety of warehousing duties requiring an understanding of the establishment's storage plan and inventory control plan. Coordinates all incoming/outgoing government furnished materials and finished products. Additionally, performs procurements via credit card and purchase orders as needed by contract.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Inventory Specialist: $18 - $22/hour.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Inventory Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
• Routing materials to prescribe storage locations; storing; stacking; or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribing storage methods.
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
• Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
• Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks (i.e. forklifts) in performing warehouse duties.
• Provides additional procurement support as needed by utilizing credit card transactions as well as purchase orders.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Inventory Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• High School diploma and 2 years related experience.
• Experience with inventory control is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience in inventory control is required.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
