Ledcor is seeking a skilled Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our U.S. Mining team. In this role, you'll travel to various job sites across the country to diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy mobile equipment. You'll work independently, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform safe and cost-effective maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
  • Support PM Mechanics and Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing and the repair of Cat, Komatsu, and Hitachi equipment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and complete daily hazard assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors with the goal of maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Promote and uphold safety and production standards across all sites.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License and a clean commercial driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic within the mining industry.
  • Proficient with Cat, Komatsu, and Hitachi ET technical services software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems.
  • MSHA Part 48 metal/nonmetal certification preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Work Conditions:

  • Varying shift rotations available depending on location - 10 days on with 4 days off or 5 days on with 2 days off, working 12 hour days with a night shift rotation when needed.
  • Overtime rates apply after 40 hours worked per week
