Financial Analyst

Analyzing Congressional budget documents and legislation for impact to multiple Department of Defense (DoD) programs
• Generating various program level reports from Oracle database and analyzing real time financial performance of multiple (DoD) programs
• Developing executive level presentation products using Microsoft PowerPoint for financial specific data
• Generating Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR) using the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system
• Processing MIPR acceptances and amendments using the DAI system
• Conducting reconciliation efforts on all open financial documents and dormant accounts
• Updating dormant account financial documents in the Advana Data Analytics system
• Generating appropriate electronic correspondence via e-mail with supported agencies regarding all financial transactions and reconciliation efforts

• Actively pursuing Business Administration, Finance, or accounting degree
• Familiarization with basic financial management, budget and accounting principles
• Familiarization with basic statistics
• Familiarization with MS Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Familiarization with databases and the ability to generate basic search queries
• Ability to work well within a team
• Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
