The Position

As a Compliance Expert DIA Business Area (BA) Support you will contribute to the comprehensive compliance program for Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS) for the RDS BA and associated RDS Customer Areas. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the architecture and implementation of the governance and strategic framework for compliance and business sustainability, to support the Customer Areas and Global Functions in the RDS BA and ensure sustainable growth. You will effectively foster and further strengthen a culture of integrity, drive compliance risk and opportunity management and state of the art compliance programs, foster continuous improvement of the compliance and business sustainability processes, supporting the organization with an effective and proactive business oriented approach.

In this role, you will be supporting the implementation of the global initiatives in cooperation with local Compliance Officers and regional Compliance Leads, to enable compliance program maturity, smooth implementation of initiatives, knowledge sharing and flexible resource allocation within the RDS BA (based on business need and compliance risks and opportunities).

In your role, you will be closely cooperating with all other members of Diagnostics Compliance Network, especially Compliance professionals within the RDS and RIS Compliance Team. You will report to the DIA BA Customer Area Compliance Lead.

The Opportunity

  • Implementation of the compliance initiatives for the RDS BA according to the Core Compliance Team decisions and divisional, regional strategy and RDS.

  • Key enabler of sustainable business operations by providing highest quality compliance advice that includes the identification, management and improvement of key compliance risks across the RDS BA and RDS Customer Areas to support risk management and compliance assurance.

  • Supporting and collaborating with relevant Compliance contacts, other second line functions and business teams in compliance projects and ongoing business initiatives, by hands-on involvement and delivering value locally under the leadership of RDS Compliance Leads.

  • Designing and implementing Training Programs for BA,Customer Areas and external Business Partners in cooperation with Divisional Support and local Compliance Officers

  • Driving standardization and one Roche approach by specialization and applying above market compliance rules interpretation

  • Supporting the network of internal compliance professionals supporting the RDS BA to drive the implementation of strategic goals and to manage key compliance risks co-creating and implementing the divisional strategy.

  • Coaching and catalyzing the local compliance professionals supporting the RDS BA to co-create value with and for all its key stakeholders. Enabling a learning environment and keeping the customers at the center of activities of the regional compliance team.

  • Contribute to the oversight and support compliance investigations in the RDS BA according to the divisional investigations strategy.

  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining good relationships with regulatory/industry bodies, raising the standards for ethical business, promoting regulatory convergence, and increasing digital health readiness.

  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of Roche internal rules and guidelines, industry codes, as well as relevant local laws, in order to keep the compliance programs updated, modern and enabling the new market opportunities

  • Contributing pro-actively to a fully integrated Divisional Compliance Network, by driving new ways of working, agility mindset and behaviors supporting effective collaboration

Who You Are

  • Education: University Degree preferably in the Legal, Finance, Economics, Business, Administration, Audit area.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of general experience in Audit, Compliance, Privacy, Risk, Assurance, Governance, Finance or relevant business experience with significant involvement in Compliance related matters and initiatives, ideally with regional exposure and cross-cultural experience.

  • Solid knowledge of relevant international / regional compliance policies and regulations, solid understanding of the diagnostics, such as AdvaMed, Medtech and the healthcare industry codes

  • Good intercultural understanding, strong skills in Project Management.

  • You are able to manage complexity through the ability to quickly understand and analyze facts and situations.

  • Qualities of enthusiasm and self-starter, and ability to manage responsibilities with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • You have excellent active listening skills, fostering open communication and speak-up culture.

  • "Can-do" attitude, embracing business thinking and ideas, hands-on.

  • You are able to establish common ground with stakeholders, balancing out conflicting interests and reach consensus.

  • A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain open, candid and trusting work relationships.

  • You have a good sense for pragmatism in approach.

  • Enterprise mindset that can break down silos. You thrive on collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose across organization boundaries.

  • Fluency in English (other languages are an asset)

  • Travel required: up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other relevant Post Graduate qualification

  • 3 to 5 years of experience and proficiency in healthcare compliance management. Proven business experience in healthcare, including comprehensive understanding of strategy, priorities, products and market conditions

Leadership Skills:

You will seek to inspire the RDS BA Compliance team to create transformative solutions, and to influence their prioritization and uptake in the wider organization, in order to ensure that customer solutions are at the forefront of Roche Diagnostics Compliance and deliver its optimal contribution to the Roche Diagnostics Vision.

You lead in a manner that is consistent with the Roche Values, Operating Principles and leadership capabilities within the Creative Leadership and the VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) framework.

This position can be filled as an SE6 or SE7 depending on candidate profile.

This position is based in Tucson, AZ with remote options in all U.S. Dia site locations (Pleasanton, Indianapolis, Tucson, Branchburg)

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is$82,600 to $153,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
