INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Hallmark's Marketing and Business Interns are typically business and marketing students with focus in business management, marketing, communications, marketing analytics, data analytics, public relations, or similar. As a Hallmark intern, you will work on impactful projects rooted in business need. You will use your business acumen and problem-solving skills to understand Hallmark's business priorities, the goal of your project(s), and to research, strategize, and develop a feasible solution(s) for your project(s) or the problem(s) at hand. In addition to your project work, you will have opportunities to expand your professional skill set, connect with corporate senior leadership, and engage in ongoing learning, development, and social activities with your fellow interns!

We are seeking a Consumer Analytics Intern to focus on the development of dashboards to support performance reporting for Hallmark's various marketing and loyalty programs and initiatives. This will include cross-functional information gathering and discovery, dashboard wireframe design and development, data requirements gathering and documentation, collaboration with marketing and engineering, dashboard development (Tableau or Power BI), and a final presentation with insights generated for end-users.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Business or Marketing, Data Analytics, or Analytics.
  • A graduation date of December 2026, May 2027, December 2027, or May 2028.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you are:



  • Pursuing major or minor coursework that focuses on data analytics, marketing analytics, or data science.
  • Education, coursework, or experience utilizing Excel, Tableau, and/or PowerBI or other data visualization tools.

  • Experience either via course work other prior working experience with Tableau. Note: If selected for an interview, you will be asked to share 1-2 Tabelau dashboard projects during your interviews.


  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Demonstrated creativity, innovation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and capacity to think critically.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from research and data and translate into clear, concise recommendations.
  • Aptitude to think strategically.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS



  • Our internship program is 12-weeks long, starting in late May and ending in early August.
  • This summer internship is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from both our recently renovated headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and from your summer residence within the KC metro area.
  • Some relocation and housing assistance is provided for interns whose permanent address is outside of the KC metro area. Relocation is required for this role.
