Job Summary:

The Regional Development Coordinator (Midwest) provides comprehensive administrative support to the Midwest Regional Vice President (RVP), playing a key role in driving regional communications, create conditions for fundraising success and operational efficiency. They contribute to regional success through event and volunteer engagement ad-hoc support, trustee engagement, and collecting data points that track revenue and volunteer metrics. This role ensures operational efficiency and alignment through high touch collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver insights that inform regional development priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the Regional Vice President (RVP), including calendar management, meeting coordination, CRM data entry, regional revenue tracking, and coordination of logistics for Society travel.

  • Internal Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between the Regional Vice President and local Executive Directors, provide clear and timely communication on development plans and priorities; consistent information is shared across the regional team. Can provide insights for improvements that strengthen communications across regions.

  • Trustees Communication Support: Collaborate with the Regional Vice President, regional Executive Directors, and the Director of Development Strategy to gather relevant and timely information and then distribute key messaging for board meetings across the region, provide updated materials to BoardEffect, and support the tracking of key next steps to ensure the delivery of clear and consistent communications to local board members on a rolling basis from both a National Org lens and a local lens.

  • Event Coordination and Volunteer Engagement: As directed by the RVP, and in collaboration with the VP, Event Experience and Operations, provide ad hoc support when gaps arise in the region for volunteer engagement and event coordination. These duties may include but are not limited to RSVP management, volunteer recruitment, vendor coordination, ordering and distribution of supplies, and supporting the development of executive briefings for CEO or CDO involvement.

  • Reporting & Tracking: Pull and deliver reports on regional fundraising progress against regional goals, regional KPIs, volunteer engagement metrics, and event outcomes, to support the preparation of quarterly reports for the Regional Vice President and Senior Vice President of Regional Development.

  • Special Development Projects: Support deliverables or milestones of other Development special projects as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2-3 years of administrative, fundraising, or customer service experience, preferably in a nonprofit or development setting.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage calendars, track deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with donor databases or CRM systems is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in correspondence and data entry.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Comfortable supporting event logistics, donor mailings, and general office tasks.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Location Requirement:

This is a market-based role supporting ourMidwest Region. The position requires regular, in-person attendance at meetings, constituent interactions, and events as well as travel as required and necessary up to approximately 50% of the work time. During the remaining time, work is primarily conducted remotely from either a home office or a National MS Society workspace (Society workspace not provided in all geographies).

Compensation | Benefits:

The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $52,000-$59,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate'sgeographic location, consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
