DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Our team will rely on your supervisory, clerical, and administrative skills to effectively guide your team and achieve critical goals! This involves personnel management, application processing and review, performance management and training, reporting and data analysis, research, customer service, and communication. Overall, you will supervise and manage UCC & Certification Section staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, leave tracking, and assigning staff to task and projects.

To fulfill your team's application processing and review responsibilities, you will evaluate and process registration applications from various types of entities intending to do business within the Commonwealth to approve or disapprove applications and ensure you and your team consistently achieve accuracy, processing time targets, and other customer service goals. Conducting performance evaluations, setting productivity standards, providing training and support on rules and procedures, and addressing performance issues are key ways through which you will support your team in attaining and growing to exceed these expectations. You will also prepare regular reports, assist with data gathering for special reports and presentations, and maintain accurate records to facilitate future data analysis. This includes conducting research on old records to combine and update them as needed. Customer service and communication skills are essential for this supervisory clerical role as you will communicate with the public in person and via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve escalated customer issues, and assist Bureau leadership with special projects and requests.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
