This role is responsible for planning, directing, and supporting gross margin accounting and related processes across our regional manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in manufacturing accounting, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage gross margin accounting processes across all three plants.

  • Own and execute standard cost updates, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Analyze manufacturing variances and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Support new product development and project initiatives with financial insights.

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to cost line extensions and new products as efficiently and effectively as possible to ensure we are responsive to customer requests.

  • Lead cross functional teams to re-design costing process to ensure accuracy and efficiency of product costing process.

  • Drive process standardization and implement best practices across all sites.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost structures and operational workflows.

  • Lead and mentor a team of costing/accounting professionals to enhance business support and performance.

  • Prepare and present Plant budget, financial reports and variance analyses to senior leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to drive down to root-cause when issues arise.

  • Organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work well independently and in a team environment.

Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field: CPA or CMA preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing accounting, with a focus on cost and margin analysis.

  • Minimum of 5 years team leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting theory including standard costing, variance analysis and internal controls.

  • Proven track record implementing process improvements.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and ERP systems (Oracle preferred) in manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working for several different manufacturing companies or business units

  • Multinational business experience

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus due to cross-border plant operations
