The Manager of Family Giving and Hospital Partnerships at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation) will assist in pipeline development for the Foundation through data analysis and relationship building. This manager will serve as the relationship lead for several families with direct ties to Children's Hospital Colorado (Hospital). The manager will be responsible for fostering and growing meaningful relationships across the Hospital to continue to grow the overall culture of gratitude. This position will serve as liaison to support services for the Hospital and will support the Vice President in meeting with hospital partners to identify areas of opportunity for philanthropic partnership. This position will work with the Vice President to align priorities and present them in a concise manner to Foundation team members. This position will be mentored and trained in support of strategic philanthropy best practices to continue to build a consistent, clear process to support all philanthropic opportunities. Focus of work may change over time. This position does not have direct fundraising responsibilities but will serve as a key conduit to the fundraising program at the Foundation through identification of philanthropic opportunities, build out of strategic plans, and pipeline development by growing the culture of philanthropy and through the identification of new donors through the Family Giving program. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy and Hospital Partnerships.

Duties & Responsibilities
Implement Family Giving Program with the goal of expanding the philanthropic support base and associated pipeline at Children's Hospital Colorado (Hospital)
* Implement Family Giving Program with the goal of expanding the philanthropic support base and associated pipeline at Children's Hospital Colorado (Hospital) * Serve as a positive ambassador for the Foundation leadership for all levels within the Hospital
* Remain aligned with the strategic priorities for both the Hospital and Foundation
* Strategize around identification, development, and adoption of best practices at the Foundation in eliciting philanthropic support from Hospital patient families and friends
* Achieve annual growth for Family Giving Program
* Develop and provide ongoing education on Family Giving and process related to the identification and referral of grateful families
* Co-lead the development and implementation of yearly written plan and strategy as program evolves
* Show excellence in meeting deadlines, advance planning and maintaining priorities
* Partner with Marketing and Prospect Strategy to develop and maintain introductory email series to patient families
* Initiate regular contacts and visits with patient families who indicate willingness or interest in supporting the Hospital
* Lead the follow up with family referrals and determine best path for gratitude
* Take lead on communicating information on potential family giving prospects to hospital partners to strengthen partnership and provide additional education around the culture of philanthropy.
* Work collaboratively with Prospect Development to determine appropriate constituent assignments when needed
* Provide timely family introductions to appropriate team members and timely follow up to referring team member(s)
* Implement timely transitioning of relationships with patient families interested in supporting the Hospital and appropriate field staff/solicitors
* Implement timely communication of relevant current donor/prospect information to field staff to facilitate prompt follow-up action
* Partner closely with Foundation team members to outline solicitation and stewardship plans related to grateful family gifts, events, etc.
* Partner with Marketing to reimagine the Welcome Series email integration and strategize the best way in which to utilize the information collected and develop clear and consistent follow-up for families
Assist in identifying areas for philanthropic investment - both overarchingly in support of fundraising priorities, and in support of specific donor opportunities <$1M
*Collaborate with Vice President and Chief of Strategic Philanthropy to understand the overarching goals and vision for the organization and philanthropic opportunities under $1M roll up to hospital visions and funding priorities
* Manage relationships with Tier 3 service lines, which includes participating in regularly scheduled meetings and committees, to understand vision for the department and philanthropic needs related to the vision
* Partner with Vice President on additional tier 3 opportunities and facilitate discussions with hospital partners around potential fundraising options and opportunities
* Facilitate relationship and articulate the importance of philanthropic engagement with the nursing and rural teams across the system of care.
* Upkeep of overall funding opportunities list to inform Foundation team of opportunities related to specific donor thresholds
* Develop and continually assist in supplementing knowledge of the Hospital programs and their impact
Philanthropic education and internal relationship engagement * Develop overall understanding of physician engagement and knowledge of educational opportunities as led by Vice President
* Assist in supporting efforts related to physician champions
* Create and maintain strong relationships with corporate compliance officers to serve as an additional HIPAA liaison and within the Foundation
* Create and maintain strong relationships with hospital team members
* Generate positive feedback from hospital, foundation and patient constituencies around family giving opportunities
* Proactively communicate role and impact of philanthropy to medical staff and hospital partners
* Work to develop training materials for onboarding hospital and foundation partners to clearly articulate the role and expectations of Family Giving
Foundation Data Analysis
* Work closely and collaboratively with Prospect Research Director to maintain census information flow
* Approropriately filter and analyze census data to determine those families most likely to be involved through family giving, share their story, or make a donation
* Work closely and collaboratively with Prospect Research Director to incorporate the use of predictive modeling in census information
* Partner with the Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy and Hospital partnerships to identify additional ways to identify potential grateful families, including through partner organizations
* Report on all family giving numbers including physician referrals, first time giving numbers, etc.
* Maintain clear, current records of all patient contact in CRM
Special Projects as assigned * Demonstrate a true "can do" attitude

Ambassador Program
* Management of ambassador relationships including regular interactions with all ambassador families
* Partnership with Marketing in choosing ambassador classes including partnership to conduct interviews, work with risk and legal, and onboarding of ambassador families
* Oversight of ambassador fundraising activities and pages and push reminders for birthdays, milestones, etc.
* Continued development of overall ambassador program in partnership with Marketing
* Integration with Marketing team around the Inspiration Network and ability to offer this opportunity to appropriate grateful families
Minimum Qualifications

- This position requires an undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university.
- Experience
Minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience in a fundraising or healthcare environment. This person should be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of communities and individuals to handle challenging and/or emotional situations. The Manager of Family Giving and Hospital Partnerships will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience in strategic planning and developing philanthropic cases for support
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated and qualified public speaking skills.
* Knowledge of pediatric healthcare institutions, fundraising culture, and the cultivation of donor relationships.
* Relevant work experience must demonstrate successful and meaningful relationship-building, excellent ability to represent our institution and keen ability to be an ambassador for the institutional leadership.
* Strong sense of emotional intelligence and control when engaging in difficult and emotional conversations.
* Ability to identify and accurately articulate the themes communicated by hospital team members and issues associated with a major academic pediatric hospital and its fundraising enterprise.
* Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the Foundation.
* Competent and knowledgeable regarding the legal and ethical issues related to medical and patient data, including HIPAA and Stark Laws.
* A highly disciplined disposition that will support the goals of this position and to meet real deadlines and create real outcomes.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $70,200.00 to $95,500.00
