Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a science-focused User Development Specialist to join our dynamic digital strategy and user development team. As a User Development Specialist, the selected candidate will create, curate, and manage trainings and content (online and in person) focused on building capacity for users working with Earth science data. The candidate will work closely with scientists, engineers, and other experts to build and present trainings in data science, environmental research, and advanced technologies in data. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: * Conduct virtual or in-person training sessions: Create user manuals, how-to guides, and training materials. Learn new tools for finding, processing, analyzing Earth science data and teach them to a broad audience. * User Engagement & Support: Monitor user activity and engagement metrics to identify trends and opportunities for new outreach. * User Retention & Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with users through trainings and outreach. Collect feedback to help improve the user experience and inform product development. Required Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Earth Science, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or a related field. * Experience: At least 10 years of experience teaching, training, or researching with Earth science data. Experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus. * US Citizenship required. Desired Qualifications * Experience organizing trainings online and in person. * Passion for science, space exploration, and technology. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. * Studied Earth science, data science, or a related field.
