SUMMARY

At Hallmark+, we believe in the power of storytelling to build meaningful connections. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Product to lead the full subscriber journey-from subscriber acquisition and activation through engagement, retention, and reactivation. This role oversees both the Subscriber Activation and Streaming Experience product management team, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience across platforms and lifecycle stages.

The Director will define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Hallmark+, balancing long-term goals with short-term delivery. They will lead cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and product lifecycle process optimization to deliver measurable business impact and subscriber satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap





  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns with Hallmark Media's strategic goals and brand values. Own the full subscriber journey, integrating acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and reactivation strategies into a cohesive product vision, planning for both long term initiatives and short-term tactics while balancing requirements with technological constraints and resources.





  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap that balances top-down business goals with bottom-up opportunities from user insights and team innovation.





Product Delivery: Drive advocacy and adoption of the product lifecycle process within your team. Lead with a mindset of data-driven decision making and a consumer centric approach, to effectively deliver the product initiatives aligned to the business priorities. The ability to execute upon the roadmap - consistently, rapidly and effectively will be critical.

Consumer Centric & Data-Driven





  • Establish and track product performance metrics, including subscriber growth, engagement, retention, and revenue impact. Regularly report on progress to leadership and adjust strategy based on outcomes.





  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to inform prioritization, build business cases, and iterate on product features.





  • Leverage data analytics and user research insights to identify opportunities for product enhancement and prioritize feature development that aligns with business goals and subscriber needs.





Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing competitive benchmarking and market research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities. Translate insights into actionable product strategies that differentiate Hallmark+ in the streaming landscape.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with researchers, designers and engineering teams to oversee the development and implementation of features across web, mobile, and connected TV platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate product strategies, progress, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for product initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. Ensure clear communication and alignment on product goals, progress, and impact.

Team Development: Oversee product team, promoting a culture of innovation, accountability, product delivery excellence and continuous improvement.



Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS





  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.





  • Minimum 7 years of product management experience in streaming subscriptions services, working across multiple platforms, leading a team of product manager(s).





  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.





OTHER REQUIREMENTS





  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and user feedback to drive data-driven decision making and continuous product improvement.





  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels and create alignment.





  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and able to navigate ambiguity effectively.





  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver new products or services.





  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, build business cases and measure product performance.





  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.





  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and professional growth.





  • Well versed in Agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA).





  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering outstanding subscriber experiences.





The salary range for this job is between $137,500- $189,600 Salary rate will take into consideration several factors including location.
