Medical Receptionist - Patient Care Coordinator
St. Petersburg, Florida Pay From: $ 20 per hour MUST: Experienced Patient Care Coordinator 2 plus years of professional experience 2 years of medical office experience preferred Must have experience with verifying insurance Must have good tenure Must have strong administrative and organizational skills Experience in MS office a plus but not required DUTIES: * Welcome and Engage Patients: Serve as the first point of contact by warmly greeting patients, managing check-ins, and creating a welcoming and professional environment. * Appointment Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule initial and follow-up appointments efficiently, working closely with healthcare providers to maintain optimal patient flow and reduce wait times. * Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Update and manage electronic health records (EHR) to ensure all patient information is current, complete, and compliant with healthcare regulations. * Administrative Support: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage office correspondence in a timely and professional manner. * Insurance & Billing Assistance: Verify insurance coverage, assist with billing questions, and clearly communicate financial information to patients regarding their care and treatment options. * Patient Education: Provide clear explanations of procedures, treatments, and office policies to help patients make informed decisions and feel confident in their care. * Collaborative Care Support: Work closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure a smooth, coordinated patient experience and address any concerns that arise during visits.
