https://success.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties:This position coordinates the CORD Connection Desk which includes supervising and managing a team comprised of undergraduate and graduate students and one full-time employee. The Connection Desk Coordinator provides oversight and directs the work of the team to provide excellent customer service, collect and analyze data, and support effective communication and marketing initiatives including website maintenance and updates as needed. The coordinator is responsible for teaching a one-hour section of UNIV or supervising CLASS+ internships during fall and spring semesters, supporting the CLASS+ team as needed, and other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

The weekly schedule options for the coordinator are to work Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm with a one-hour lunch OR Monday - Thursday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from a nationally recognized and accredited institution from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least two or more years of higher education experience such as college-level teaching, academic support, program administration, or related student-facing higher education experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising and directing the work of full-time and/or college student employees

  • Experience creating and managing schedules of multiple employees

  • Mentoring experience or experience meeting one-on-one with employees or students

  • Customer service experience such as front-desk or high-traffic reception situations

  • Experience developing and delivering training to staff

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
  • Knowledgeable about creating and maintaining effective and supportive work culture including student development

  • Knowledgeable about performance management, setting expectations, delivering feedback, and fostering accountability

  • Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Box, Canva, SharePoint, and social media networks including Meta Business Suite

  • Skilled at promoting teamwork, encouraging collaboration, facilitating student group interaction, and fostering positive team atmosphere

  • Skilled at evaluating needs of multiple stakeholders and providing effective customer service

  • Skilled at communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with multiple stakeholders

  • Skilled in classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment

  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve and adapt to dynamic situations

  • Ability to organize workflows including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to develop and deliver training and professional development

  • Ability to professionally represent department and serve as liaison to campus stakeholders and student employees
