Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Laboratory Assistant to support our Pathology department. This role involves a variety of laboratory tasks performed in compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a lab setting and demonstrate strong teamwork and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Accession and process surgical and cytology specimens.
Track orders and ensure accurate specimen handling.
Assist with frozen sections and interventional radiology sample processing (including staining and accessioning).
Process biorepository samples and maintain inventory using designated applications.
Maintain pathology and biorepository equipment.
Support decision-making and troubleshooting under the direction of the Department Director and Supervisor.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
