What we're looking for
Experience:
4-5 years of applicable experience in customer services/purchasing/or account management 2-4 years of previous experience managing associates is required Ability to meet all customer requirements, including background checks, health and safety protocols, security clearances, and medical screenings. Proficient in ERP systems and information access tools; intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic knowledge of Microsoft Access. Strong customer service orientation with a professional, solution-focused attitude. Foundational knowledge of purchasing and inventory management. Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to established protocols and procedures. Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with strong organizational and forward-thinking capabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal departments. Skilled in troubleshooting and problem resolution. Thorough understanding of Avantor policies with the ability to apply them consistently. Sound decision-making abilities with minimal managerial oversight.
How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Lead and guide team efforts in alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) and customer requirements. Motivate and coach team members to meet or exceed performance goals through mentoring and support of individual and team development. Manage open order status reports, customer metrics, departmental reporting, and ensure maintenance of SOPs and SOWs. Provide training and development opportunities; serve as a backup for associates to ensure continuity of operations. Oversee administrative functions, including performance evaluations, succession planning, timecard reviews, and vacation scheduling. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Performance Indicators (SPIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Act as a liaison between the customer, VWR services, and VWR sales to ensure seamless communication and service delivery. Ensure compliance with GxP standards and Good Documentation Practices. Deliver added value to the customer through continuous personal development and industry knowledge. Perform additional duties as assigned.
