STV is seeking a Senior Project Managerto support our client's 57th Street Substation Rehabilitation and Five Circuit Breaker House project. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams delivering design, construction management, commissioning, and system integration for high-profile transportation and infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

This position will support ongoing initiatives such as substation rehabilitation, control center modernization, and communications system upgrades for regional transit agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of large-scale communications and systems projects, from planning and design through construction and commissioning.

  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and contract deliverables to ensure on-time, within-budget completion aligned with STV and client standards.

  • Provide technical leadership in system design and integration for communications, security, and power distribution systems.

  • Serve as primary client interface, fostering strong relationships and effective communication between stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Conduct constructability reviews, QA/QC oversight, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.

  • Manage and mentor project engineers and coordinators, promoting continuous learning and performance excellence.

  • Prepare detailed progress reports, cost forecasts, and change management documentation.

  • Support development of proposals and participate in business development efforts for new opportunities within the Systems practice.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience managing transportation, communications, or electrical systems projects.

  • Proven leadership in construction management, system integration, and commissioning of transit or infrastructure facilities.

  • Strong understanding of contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent STV with clients and agency partners.

  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and E-Builder.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience with agencies such as MTA, Amtrak, NJ TRANSIT, or Port Authority of NY & NJ.

  • Background in design and implementation of CCTV, access control, communications, and substation systems.

  • Demonstrated success in multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects

Compensation Range:

$160,926.84 - $214,569.12
