The Associate Manager, Hospitality and Events, will oversee activities across our dynamic San Francisco campus, executing event management in our state-of-the-art Auditorium, 'Ohana Floor, & Campus. This individual can expect direct interaction with executives, customers, and partners and will work closely with hospitality, facilities, and marketing teams. This position is very hands-on in the day-to-day planning and execution of our hospitality and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring operational excellence and delivering a holistic guest experience across a wide range of events with minimal oversight. Events include, but are not limited to: Executive receptions, Partner and/or Customer-facing events, Employee engagement events, Multi-day team offsites, Non-profit events
  • Provide event support for various internal and external initiatives.
  • Contribute to new projects and event programs as needed.
  • Support complex ELT-level events
  • Lead the planning and execution of events for executive audiences
  • Simple meeting support
  • Ensure consistent, on-brand messaging by understanding Salesforce's brand and product positioning.
  • Communicate regular event updates to management and executive leadership.
  • Maintain and continuously improve global team documents and event playbooks.
  • Act as a consultative partner to clients hosting events in Salesforce spaces, demonstrating strong public speaking skills.
  • Manage all event logistics, including pre-event planning, onsite execution, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder for G-Cal calendar management for internal event spaces.
  • Define event goals and develop measurement strategies, including the creation and analysis of event surveys.
  • Co-manage external agency and vendor relationships while collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Real Estate, Creative, Facilities, Employee Engagement, Salesforce.org, and the Office of Equality.
  • Research, recommend, and report on creative event options and entertainment aligned with program goals and budgets.
  • New Hire Trainer
  • Will utilize multiple tools: GCAL, Social Tables, the Salesforce ticketing system, and Google products to document and manage event programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of successful event management experience planning customer-centric events in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Strong customer service skills with a highly personable and service-focused approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to proactively address client needs
  • Exceptional problem-solving and creative negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight
  • Experience managing budgets, including financial planning and tracking
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload effectively in a deadline-driven environment
  • Thrive in a team environment and adept at overcoming obstacles
  • Proficient with online registration systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, as needed
