About the Opportunity:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing shipments to customers/suppliers to provide all aspects necessary in the coordination of the flow of outgoing materials within the facility.

Location: South Windsor, CT

This role is 100% on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for counting, packaging, computer transactions within Visual and Customer Portals, inventory control and shipping of product.
  • Count and package marked parts in accordance with Whitcraft marking card and Customer Specification.
  • Pre-pack to Ship on Schedule (SOS) per Customer Requirements
  • Working from customer requirements, package parts and generate packing slips and labels and forward to respective customer release agent for final review and sign off.
  • insert final dunnage, customer required paperwork, seal box and apply pertinent labels
  • Record final execution and mode of transportation for shipment
  • Maintain inventory in SOS computer inventory system
  • Maintain records, both digitally and physically, for all outgoing shipments

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a shipping department is preferred. Experience with computers and organizational skills are also preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability. Organizational skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
