By optimizing global battery portfolios and providing actionable insights from requirement sensitivities, you'll directly multiply the productivity of our teams, enabling the design, validation, and rapid scaling of the world's most innovative electric vehicles.

You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, iterating on user feedback to refine tools, track metrics, and proactively solve pain points-all while adhering to industry standards and considering broader system impacts. What You'll Do
  • Develop mission-critical tools that explore, model and optimize architectures of next generation EV batteries
  • Build fast and reliable bidirectional data pipelines connecting to in-house and 3rd party modeling software
  • Create modular first-order cost frameworks and collaborate with subject matter experts to improve and extend the library of models
  • Build web applications to trigger simulation runs, manage pipelines, track metrics and analyze results with custom reporting functionalities
  • Build algorithms to optimize worldwide battery portfolios and provide insights into the cost and impact of requirements
  • Recommend and implement solutions that adhere to industry standards, keeping in mind the impact on upstream and downstream system and stakeholders
  • Track user metrics on tools to understand pain points and trends to proactively provide solutions
  • Interact with internal stakeholders to understand business and engineering challenges and propose informed options

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in Python ORM frameworks and web servers (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Flask), with hands-on SQL experience and strong understanding of REST principles
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and the React framework, including Hooks, Context API, and component lifecycle management
  • Proficiency in rigorous software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), containerization (e.g., Docker), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging
  • Experience building and maintaining infrastructure and services; familiarity with technologies like Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ is preferred
  • Experience with (Non-)Linear Programming and mathematical optimization techniques is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex business logic and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on innovative and challenging problems
  • Proven experience in iterative, collaborative settings, partnering with battery engineering teams on software solutions for optimized workflows

    Expected Compensation
    $133,440 - $200,160/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
