Occ Summary

Perform routine food service tasks and manu alwork under immediate supervision or detailed instructions in a food pr oduction and/or foodservice area; operate dish machine; wash, clean and mop food service areas as assigned.


Work Performed

As sistin the preparation of foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods a nddesserts; prepare foods to include beverages, salads,dressings, sandwi ches, and cold plates.Operate food production equipment to include slice rs,choppers, dicers, mixers, vertical cutters, patty making machines, an dother vegetable, bakery, and meat processing equipment.Transport food o rsupplies to serving areas; ensure that areas are properly set up; assem ble and replenish food, supplies, and equipment as required; ensure prop ertemperature of food in steam tables and correct counter display; takeo rders, portion, and serve food to customers; record portions served acco rding to procedure; remove,cover, wrap, label, store, rotate, and discar dfood and condiments as directed.Clean assigned areas following proper s anitary procedures; sweep, mop floors and vacuum rugs and carpets inassi gned areas as needed.Clear soiled dishes and refuse from tables in dinin g halls; scrape refuse into garbage containers; load trays and soiled di shes on conveyers, racks, and carts; remove and dispose of trash.Setup a nd operate dish machine to clean dishes, trays, silverware,glassware, po ts, pans, and utensils; sort utensils and equipment;inspect cleaneditems for quality of operations.Maintain sufficient stock and suppliesfor thep roper performance of duties; unload incoming supplies and equipment; unp ack and assist in receiving,issuing, and transporting materials; verify quantity of received goods against invoices and notify supervisor ofdisc repancies;stock supplies and equipment in accordance with prescribedproc edures;assemble supplies and deliver to ordering unit, usinghand truck i f needed; report needed items for reorder.Perform other related duties i ncidental to the work described herein.The above statementsdescribeigned to this classification.This is not intended to be an exhaustive lithe g eneral nature and level of work being performed by individuals assst of all responsibilities and duties required of personnel soclassified.
