POSITION SCOPE

The Payroll Support position will report to the Payroll Director and perform administrative functions for the Payroll Department. This position requires confidentiality and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

PRIMARY DUTIES



  • Payroll entry/timecards
  • Payroll Processing
  • Payroll monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Journal Entries
  • Helping employees with payroll-related questions, such as time off, benefits, and system navigation
  • Certified Payroll reporting
  • Expense entries
  • PTO term payouts, calculation and journal entry
  • Maintain and update employee garnishments
  • Calculate prevailing wage
  • Maintain new/term employee leave spreadsheets and personal leave spreadsheets
  • Overhead Calculations and Journal Entries
  • Mail out checks
  • Perform other duties and journal entries as assigned



REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience in payroll
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with ECMS preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Attendance on Demand preferred, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter with problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams
