OB TITLE: Training Coordinator BASE RATE PER HOUR: $25 ($25 -$29) NUMBER OF POSTINGS: 4 SHIFT: Team A(days), Team B(nights), Team C(days), and Team D(nights) HOURS: Days: 6:00am-6:00pm or Nights: 6:00pm-6:00am, with the ability to flex time between shifts as needed. Overtime and weekend work as needed. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required. This position will follow the preset alternative work schedule. J OB SUMMARY/JOB DUTIES: The primary purpose of this role is to help alleviate the training burden from the core teams and drive a standard approach to hourly training. This role will be focused on providing hands on on-the-job training to technicians and supporting the process to validate and confirm skill qualification. This intent of this role is to provide operations (and all other departments) a continuous and effective system to increase skills and knowledge of technicians to safely operate plant equipment. This role provides each team a subject matter resource for technicians to meet individual and team training goals. Principal Accountabilities: Training Responsibilities: *Develop and assist with hands-on training for all areas of the plant. *Support hourly new hire orientation and onboarding *Execute department level training programs for new hires, contract employees and technicians transferring into new roles within the department. *Support deployment of required monthly safety, quality and operations training materials to ensure teams are completing monthly training requirements on time. *Provide input to Training manager to help create and/or update all training modules, checklists and procedures relating to plant equipment training. (i.e. MST's, JSA's, Isolation Procedures, OS check sheets, Qualification documents, OPLs, SSOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), Troubleshooting guides, etc.) as needed *Maintain accurate records of training, audit results, survey data, and others as necessary for their team(s) *Act as subject matter expebert for Connected Worker tools (Red Zone, eQMS, Alchemy). *Helps implement hands-on training packages developed by project engineers for new equipment and local training leadership on Campbell Work Process changes. *Must be able to flex to other shifts in order to deliver training. *Act as a "Training Ambassador" for the site. Will work closely with other training coordinators on multi-level site projects. *Collaborate with leadership to identify training gaps and opportunities (i.e., Safety, Quality, Environmental, Sustainability, HR, Production, OpEx). *Track, lead, schedule and facilitate department job qualifications to meet the departments skill profile and design. *Proctor Ramsay testing as needed *Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to empower other trainers within the organization. *Perform skills gap assessments for current and new employees and assist in developing and delivering training plans. *Responsible for supporting Safety Compliance and Annual Refresher Training, may serve as competent trainer for critical safety topics (i.e. LOTO, PIE, etc.). *Ability to leverage Velocity system to be able to input behavior observations and follow up on assigned action items. *Create and gather content to enter into RedZone learning to support training digitization journey, serve as a Red Zone power user *Have the ability to work individually as well as in a team setting when needed *Maintain ongoing self-development by continuing training across all job functions and plant areas to strengthen technical knowledge, enhance skills, and improve overall training effectiveness. *This role will spend 80% of their time on the manufacturing floor delivering hands on training to employees in their assigned area. *All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications *EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: *Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related field preferred. *Years of relevant experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience required; 3 years preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. *Knowledge, skills, and abilities required: *Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must possess strong training/facilitation skills. *Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite is essential (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). *Knowledge of Downers Grove safety programs and compliance. *Results oriented. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter. *Must have strong planning, organizational, and critical thinking skills. *Must be able to build relationships quickly and create direction without having positional authority. *Strong attention to detail, inquisitive mind and not willing to accept information at face value. *Ability to manage, coach, and develop people, talent, and skills needed for the job. *Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information and documents. *Managing competing resources and priorities. *Ability to prioritize and follow through on work assignments. *Ability to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and develop and implementing solutions. *Develop project plans, manage projects, and monitor performance. *Effective presentation skills. Working Conditions The working environment includes both office and plant floor settings. Exposure to industrial noise, forklift traffic, moving mechanical parts, and temperature extremes occurs in operating areas of the plant.
