Job Summary:


Provides support to Pharmacists and/or Subject Matter Expert - Pharmacy Technicians as well as other managerial functions in the program. Facilitates and manages assigned projects and contracts relating to clinical team. Leads and provides oversight to assigned tasks and contracts, making sure that contract specifications are understood, tasks are assigned appropriately, and information is available and circulated.


Essential Functions:



  • Directs the day-to-day operations of the team, as well as inter-project and cross-setting coordination of resources among projects and contracts including facilitation and communication of resolution of barriers.
  • Provides direction and support to other clinical staff as assigned.
  • Prioritizes, delegates, and accomplishes tasks and programs independently and in a team to ensure successful implementation of goals and objectives.
  • Works with the appropriate stakeholders to build partnerships, support data sharing, and develop tools and references to support changes in care practices in the pharmacy arena.
  • Reviews and interprets contract deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Leads the design and application of work plans, as well as coordinating the evaluation and any needed modifications to ensure they reflect project work.
  • Manages the conceptual design and implementation of projects, as well as ensures project execution as needed.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures, work instructions, job aids, and other materials to ensure compliance with contract and industry practices.
  • Testifies at various legal proceedings or administrative hearings, as necessary.
  • Provides direction and subject matter expertise related to pharmacy practice and/or relevant policy to the client and the client's agencies, including law enforcement.
  • Initiates and contributes to the conceptual design, methodologies, and implementation of audits and/or projects, as well as coordinates and facilitates project execution as needed.
  • Creates and updates workload reports and metrics for program management, as needed.
  • Works closely with the client and the client's agencies, including law enforcement, to provide advice on the legality of, and the legal risk associated with deliverables and work products, policies, regulations, guidance documents, and correspondence.
  • Develops and provides training and mentorship for employees.
  • Coordinates and/or provides educational programs to meet project goals.
  • Contributes professional presentations at pharmacy, medical, and quality organization meetings.
  • Contributes newsletter articles applicable to project goals and community needs/requests; contributes abstracts for submission to pharmacy, medical, and quality organizations; and submits memos or reports, as appropriate.
  • Manages team performance through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.

Education (can be substituted for experience):
Minimum Bachelor's of Pharmacy required; Master's degree or PharmD preferred


Work Experience (can be substituted for education):
8 - 11 years of experience required; 12 - 14 years preferred


Certification(s):
Active, current and non-restricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the areas required by the contract
Additional certifications and/or residency/fellowship preferred
