Position Overview
Essential Job Duties |
A one-year renewable position for a Postdoc is available with the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The purpose of the position is to advance swine health, welfare and productivity.
- The candidate will play an integral role in advancing pain management strategies for pigs on farm in the US.
- The ideal candidate must have extensive experience conducting on-farm and identifying pain behaviors in swine. In addition, candidates should have experience analyzing data.
The candidate must have earned a PhD degree (in a field related to veterinary medicine or animal sciences with preference for welfare experience) and be able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues that are part of the Animal Welfare and Behavior Lab at
NCSU.
This position is anticipated to have funding for one year.
