The PositionDirector of Marketing, Molecular Systems Mission: Position the Clinical Molecular platforms to optimize retention of existing business, competitive takeaways via channel fill and new placements, and drive decision making for future product pipeline. This pivotal role provides strategic leadership and direct management for the x800 family of platforms, pre-analytic solutions, GenMark, and Light Cycler within Roche's Clinical Molecular business. The Director of Marketing, Molecular Systems is accountable for driving both near-term business plan achievement and securing long-term market leadership in laboratory molecular testing. The role involves inspiring and leading a high-performing team of people leaders and product marketing managers, fostering their development and ensuring the successful execution of the commercial strategy. This includes spearheading the comprehensive marketing plan and launch programs designed to generate demand and maximize sales for cutting-edge molecular systems and pre-analytic solutions in lab and syndromic testing. A core focus will be translating market insights into actionable operational and profit plans, meticulously tracking marketing budgets and projections, and leading the analysis and evaluation of marketing initiatives to optimize impact and return on investment. The position oversees the entire product lifecycle, from researching market conditions and preferences to developing robust production and marketing strategies that ensure optimal product placement. Furthermore, responsibility extends to tracking and reporting on the future portfolio pipeline, contributing to critical business case development and optimizing marketing asset utilization with recommendations for continuous improvement. Leadership will extend beyond direct authority, effectively influencing and collaborating with local and global stakeholders across R&D, sales, and other key functions to achieve shared strategic and tactical business objectives. The Manager will oversee departmental resources, including full discretion over employment decisions for the team, ensuring the consistent achievement of departmental goals and the successful commercialization and launch of new molecular diagnostic deliverables in the US market. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $147,400 - $273,700. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
