This internship position is located in Indianapolis, on site.

The Opportunity

  • Leads or participates in the successful completion of process improvement initiatives. Manages or supports completion of required deliverables to ensure objectives, timelines, and budget requirements are achieved.

  • Utilizes quality/continuous improvement knowledge to interact with and support cross-functional teams in the identification of improvement ideas. Gathers and analyzes data to investigate and troubleshoot issues. Formulates identified opportunities into actionable project concepts and plans.

  • Serves as a resource for the utilization and implementation of tools and methodologies that reduce costs, increase quality, improve process efficiency, and accuracy.

  • Performs data analysis to drive business insights around common KPIs such as claims, inventory, lead/cycle time, etc.

  • Assists other departments in implementing projects from concept to completion.

  • Supports the Functional Quality team in maintaining the Indianapolis Hub's compliance with the HSD (Handling, Storage, and Distribution) quality system module.

Program highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).

  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

  • Final presentations of project work to senior leaders.

  • Lead or participate in intern committees to design and coordinate program events and initiatives.

  • Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.

  • Participate in volunteer projects, social events, and team-building activities.

  • Paired with a 1:1 mentor through the Roche Young Professionals Business Resource Group.

Who You Are (Required)

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors:

  • Engineering/Engineering Technology, Logistics/Supply Chain, Supply Chain Analytics, Quality Management.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (5S, Work Instructions, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, etc.) and/or quality assurance tools.

  • Desire GPA 3.0 or higher.

  • Desire previous work experience.

  • Student organization and/or study abroad experiences are a plus.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
