Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned) The Geysers is the largest complex of geothermal power plants in the world. Calpine is the largest geothermal power producer in the US and one of the most reliable energy sources in California accounting for approximately one fifth of the green power produced in California. Job Responsibilities This supervised position will allow for a geosciences student who is interested in a career in the power industry to apply and enhance their knowledge with regard to all aspects of the Geysers power plant and its resource-related operations. This position will require the individual to work a normal day shift. Limited overtime work (nights and weekends) may be required. This job will be based at the Geysers power plant located at 10350 Socrates Mine Road, Middletown, CA 95461. The 2026 summer intern project will be to digitize hardcopy, legacy information and data, to make them accessible to Calpine staff for on-going and future projects. The intern will also be tasked to obtain digital data from various sources and consolidate them in a geodatabase. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
