The EOIS business unit within Leonardo DRS develops and manufactures the Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) Tactical Agile Gimbal (STAGTM) line of stabilized gimbal products. These STAG systems can be deployed on airborne platforms, on ground/surface (UGV, USV) platforms, or in fixed installations. The Systems Engineering Director is responsible for overall technical leadership of gimbal prototype and product development activities. In this role, you will work closely with customers, engineering leadership and Line-of-Business (LOB) leadership to define requirements, determine priorities, and oversee detailed gimbal design, integration, and test. You will provide guidance and direction to gimbal Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, Software, Firmware, Controls, and Test engineering teams. A strong background in Electro-Optical/Infrared (EOIR) Systems Engineering and experience with development and test of stabilized gimbal systems are required. Plan, manage, and direct implementation of prototype and product development activities in the EOIS Gimbal Portfolio. Coordinate the creation, development, design, and improvement of products in conformance with established programs and objectives.
