Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We're looking for a Sales Executive Merchant Regional to join our ever-evolving Merchant Services team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you'll own as a Sales Executive Merchant Regional

* Works with assigned sales team to drive new business growth and boosts profitability in existing accounts by spotting high-impact opportunities through market and client insight.
* Serve as the strategic sales lead, consulting with owners and C-suite executives.
* Builds and energizes a strong referral network with Commercial Bank partners while executing a proactive outreach strategy to consistently generate sales momentum.
* Build and manage sales team pipeline through Commercial Bank referrals and self-generated COI leads.
* Align with FI partner sales teams to expand existing customer relationships.
* Delivers persuasive, value-driven presentations that clearly demonstrate how the organization's solutions meet client needs.
* Travel within a designated geographical territory to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new local businesses

* Provides leadership for area of responsibility including planning, coaching, recruiting, selection, performance development and mentoring.
* Monitors staff performance, works with employees to implement goals and document progress, approves incentive compensation calculations and works with Human Resources on employee related issues.
* Responsible for activities involved in selling products and/or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.
* Directs resources in a cost-effective, innovative manner including assisting sales executives in effective use of resources and tools.
* Participates in establishing financial goals, objectives and measurements to meet growth targets.
* Develops sales plans, goals, strategies and objectives to achieve team goals and revenue objectives.
* Identifies critical market segments through market research and competitor analyses and recommends sales strategies for improvement.
* Implements and executes sales policies and practices.
* Oversees trade show participation and participates in planning of sales meetings.
* Prepares sales production reports for senior management.
* Participates in building, packaging and price setting with members of management to meet market needs.
* Monitors client survey results to ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction and responds to any negative criticism.
* Ensures development and maintenance of long-term relationships with client base.
* Instills a belief in the company's vision, mission and goals and works to establish WORLDPAY as an industry expert and leader.
* Encourages staff to participate in product/service as well as industry related educational opportunities to strengthen and improve skill levels and ability to service customers.
* May assist sales executives in attaining revenue goals including the development of tactical and strategic plans to create and close product/service opportunities.
* Other related duties assigned as needed.

* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
* 6+ years of Merchant Sales Experience required.
* Deep knowledge of the payments industry, Interchange, and gateway connectivity.
* Background in SAAS , Banking, Payables and Receivables a plus.
* Proficient in Salesforce as a CRM is a bonus.
* 10 years of sales experience, with an emphasis on solution selling into Commercial, Mid-Market and or Enterprise space.
* Track record of proven success exceeding sales targets with a data-driven, results-focused mindset.
* Excellent relationship building, prospecting, and sales team territory development skills.
* Quickly grasp technology fundamentals and apply them to real-world business needs.
* Open to feedback and committed to personal accountability and growth.
* Creatively resolve client issues with practical problem-solving and sound decision-making.
* Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

* Requires strong management, organizational, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
* Requires strong business skills, industry knowledge, financial management and planning skills, long-term vision and executive presence
* In-depth knowledge of WORLDPAY products and services
* General knowledge of financial and/or payment solutions technology including systems, applications and banking practices
* Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner including presentations
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
* Skill in productivity, planning and workload management
* Requires solid decision-making and problem solving skills
* Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements
* Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure
* Ability to show established track record of involvement in industry trade groups preferred
* Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public
* Ability to identify, address and resolve employee related issues
* Travel is required

About the team

Manages a portion of the sales activities within the division with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet sales goals. Provides guidance to team members within latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect group. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions and results. Acts as advisor to team members in meeting sales objectives and/or resolving problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements, and may have budget responsibilities.

The pay range for this full-time position is $161,800.00 - $267,000.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.This position is eligible for commission.
