Work Schedule:

87.5% FTE, Monday to Friday, seven days per two weeks, 10-hour shifts (0700 - 1700). Rotating procedural and clinic schedule with a potential need for future 1:6 weekend rotation with two call shifts per week every six weeks. You will work at University Hospital and UPH-Meriter

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and outpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant - Electrophysiology Procedural to:

  • Be an active member of the cross-functional team, by providing comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients in inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings at University Hospital and UnityPoint Health - Meriter.
  • Manage pre and post procedure patients: cardiac ablations, device-based procedures, extractions, cardioversions, and implantable loop recorders, as well as inpatient consults.
  • First assist with pacemaker device placements, generator replacements, ablation procedures, lead extractions, and lead revisions. Independently perform cardioversions, loop recorder implantations, and loop explants.
  • Perform independent clinic visits (local and regional) for electrophysiology patients.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited PA program Required or
  • Master's Degree from accredited PA program Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice Upon Hire Required and
  • Active PA board certification Upon Hire Required and
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such a license Upon Hire Required
