UNC Health Care is recruiting a full time mental health Occupational Therapist, to work with our multidisciplinary team located at UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, motivated and team-oriented therapist with experience in an inpatient mental health setting. The occupational therapist shall be responsible for providing a full range of occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The occupational therapist will participate in a variety of professional growth activities intended to develop and improve patient care delivery and departmental performance. The occupational therapist shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion. Therapy services will work among a large interdisciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Nursing Services.We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with mental health experience who is dynamic, motivated and team oriented. The Occupational Therapist to be responsible for providing a full range of services including standardized assessments, evaluations, providing therapeutic interventions and discharge planning. The Occupational Therapist will participate in a variety of professional growth activities and mentorship intended to develop and improve patient care delivery and departmental performance. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist will be encouraged to serve as a clinical educator for level I and level II students occupational therapy students. The Occupational Therapist shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion. The selected candidate will work 5 days a week, Tuesday - Saturday with occasional holiday coverage.
