What is the mission of the Coordinator II, Commercial Planning?

As the Coordinator, Merchandising Communication at The GIANT Company, your mission is to ensure clarity and consistency in all commercial planning communications, creating a seamless flow of information between the support teams and our stores. By designing and developing concise and accurate materials, including weekly commercial plans and seasonal playbooks, you help ensure that all teams have a single, reliable source of truth. Your role supports the execution of our commercial goals, enhances communication quality, and enables continuous improvement through store feedback and data-driven insights. Ultimately, your efforts drive operational excellence and contribute to our company's mission of Connecting Families for a Better Future.

What will I do as an Coordinator II, Commercial Planning?
    • Responsible for ensuring all stores and support team members have one source of the truth in all commercial planning communications, including weekly commercial planning materials, seasonal playbooks and any other commercial activity.
    • Design and develop content of the weekly one pager for in-store execution of the commercial plan.
    • Partner with Store Communications as SME for merchandising messages to the stores
    • Evaluate quality of communications via store feedback and review feedback with content creators
    • Review usage metrics to determine opportunities to improve communications channels and timing.
    • Ensure content authors are properly trained
    • Provide assistance in project management and event planning
    • Maintain our department SharePoint Site ensuring accurate and up to date information is available at all times
    • Provide weekly reminders and communications to Merchandising on upcoming deadlines and maintain timelines
    • Weekly record keeping and data maintenance for department files

  • Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years relevant retail experience

What are the details?
  • Reporting: The Coordinator II, Commercial Planning reports in to the Manager of Commercial Planning.
  • Hybrid Remote: This position is based out of Carlisle, Pa. And will require 3 days a week in the office.
