Rantec Microwave Systems, located in Westlake Village, has an immediate opening for a Final/In Process Inspector. This Quality Control Inspector will inspect in-process and finished product to ensure compliance to drawing specifications, customer and company requirements. Prepare documentation for submittal and interface with customer or government source inspectors on final shippable product. Work and interface with all disciplines within Rantec, IE; engineering, assembly, contracts. Duties include the following: Perform in-process and final inspection activities. This includes preparing all documentation required for final shipment and interfacing with customer/government representatives for final approvals. In process duties will include, but not limited to solder, bonding requirements and dip brazed assemblies. Skill requirements: Experience using a PC with Windows based software (Word, Excel, etc). Ability to utilize basic hand held inspection equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, etc). Ability to read and interpret and follow mechanical drawings and electrical schematics including work instructions, manufacturing and quality procedures. Ability to visually inspect small product/features using microscopic (10X) inspection. Experience: Previous aerospace environment a must AS9100/ISO9001 - prefer 10 years experience. Ability to be certified to IPC J-STD-001. Knowledge of ESD requirements and working environment. Dip Braze knowledge a plus. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance to perform all duties associated with this position.
