Accounting Manager
CPA Required | M&A Experience | Inventory Accounting

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of their growing organization. This role offers the opportunity to shape and refine accounting processes, ensure compliance, and support cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full-cycle accounting process, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate reporting of compensation and benefits.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations to maintain liquidity and financial health.
  • Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation tracking.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for scalability and efficiency.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
  • Stay current on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.


Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
