Associate Graphics Operator

The Associate Graphics Operator is responsible for the live execution and creative development of inserts graphics across all studio and remote productions at PGA TOUR Studios. This role requires technical expertise in broadcast graphics systems, precision under pressure, and a strong understanding of live sports workflows. The Associate Graphics Operator ensures all visual elements-from real-time scoring to branded content-are delivered with accuracy, consistency, and creative impact.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or related technical education required.

• Minimum 1 year relevant experience.

• Experience with broadcast graphics systems, font creation and production experience preferred.

• Experience in operating the Ross Xpression and Chyron Lyric graphic systems is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, & After Effects and show proficiency in prepping artwork for graphic implementation is preferred.

• Understanding of video production as it pertains to font creation and implementation is preferred.

• Experience with scoring system interfaces is preferred.

• Sports production background preferred, experience with the game of golf a plus.

• Excellent typing and spelling skills required.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Understanding of video production as it pertains to font creation and implementation.

• Schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday - Sunday.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Perform all graphics operator duties during live programming, including real-time playback, updates, and coordination with production teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of on-air visuals.

• Operate graphics systems and associated equipment, ensuring all hardware and software components are functioning properly before, during, and after production.

• Create, load, and manage graphic elements prior to air, including templates, lower thirds, score bugs, and sponsor assets.

• Collaborate with producers and designers to ensure graphics meet editorial and branding standards.

• Consult with producers, directors, and editorial staff throughout the production process to anticipate graphic needs, adjust content in real time, and support creative storytelling through visual elements.

• Support, identify and report technical issues immediately to Engineering using maintenance logs and escalation protocols.

• Ensure consistency with PGA TOUR and broadcast brand standards across all graphic elements, including formatting, color, and typography.

• Communicate all graphics equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports.

• Ensure all graphics adhere to broadcast standards, including formatting, spelling, timing, and visual consistency.

• Perform final checks before air and monitor output during live events.

• Adapt to evolving production needs and contribute to team-wide initiatives.

• Support special projects and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.
